3 things that most inspire me…. one…. the fiercely passionate and creative people I've had the honor to work with and be friends with, and this includes my core and extended family. When I think about this statement my life has truly been extraordinary in this regard. Two… being a mother… wow! Three… curiosity.

alley rides are bicycle trees in my shadow. eyes drifting from flickering thought to light play and i know i was floating that first day. charles was there, he saw the spirits lifting us up, easy but anchored to his thoughts. he rolled his ideas to me, a marble in an eaves trough and without a word we knew we agreed. lead not follow, shallow is the route that's smooth, a groove is good for awhile but potholes make the rider more agile and a fight is not the fist, its a love of the rules breaking head over heels, a perfectly timed accident that brings art to life.

Things I loved as a boy: Dissecting old radios and electronic stuff. Playing piano (wanted to play like Liberace). Piecing together jigsaw puzzles (NURSE.FIGHTER.BOY is like one giant jigsaw puzzle...).

The Magic Cat - don't ask - played it after dinner as a boy with my dad and my sister Amy. I really believed this stuffed cat could move itself around our house all by itself - little did I know my mom was in on it.

I find myself most inspired by those who see hope in situations that appear hopeless, and who can move forward with grace and calm. I could name dozens of examples, but, for me, among the most inspiring are Stephen Lewis, David Suzuki and my three children.

Jenny and Sara have been working together for 3 years. They both spent years in the business working as assistants and then associates for other casting directors, before branching out on their own. Jenny and Sara most recently won the inaugural Gemini for casting the MOW 'Heyday' by Gordon Pinsent, and were nominated again this year for casting the series Rent-A-Goalie.

Sara and Jenny love working on Canadian projects because they are far more creatively fulfilling and they appreciate the opportunity to give back to the community that they started in.
